The Australian Undergraduate Students' Computing Conference 2005 is a conference for the presentation and publication of Australian undergraduate and honors research in the broad field of information and communication technology. It will be a fantastic experience for anyone interested in ICT at the undergraduate level, no matter what their discipline.
A number of exciting activities will be held at AUSCC05, including:

  • Prominent keynote speakers invited from industry, academia and
    government.
  • Student paper, poster and tutorial presentations (with refereed paper, poster and tutorial abstracts included in the published conference proceedings).
  • Industry exhibition (with ICT industry representatives eager to discuss their services and potential career opportunities).
  • Social events that will offer a great chance to meet like-minded attendees and build that all-important professional network for the future.

If you are interested in learning what students from around Australia are doing in ICT research and in networking with these students, academics and industry representatives, then you should strongly consider attending AUSCC05! By presenting your work at AUSCC05 you will be showcasing your problem solving, research and communication skills to other highly motivated attendees. Imagine how good such an experience would look on your CV when applying for a graduate job, honours or postgraduate scholarship!! Regular papers will undergo a friendly, constructive refereeing process with accepted papers being included in the conference proceedings. The proceedings will be published with an ISBN so that these papers can be cited by others and home departments can get research funding for these papers -- a common condition for departmental student travel support!

AUSCC05 will be hosted by the ANU Institute of Engineering and Information Science. The University's campus is conveniently located in Canberra's CBD close to accommodation and public transport.

Note that postgraduate students are also encouraged to apply to present tutorials and posters, and that there are opportunities for both students and academics to help future AUSCC conferences.
