Lecturer(s):

Dr. Ramesh Sankaranarayana will be the Lecturer-in-charge and dealing with all administrative matters for Computer Networks in 2008.

There will also be some guest lecturers.

Lectures:

There will be three 1 hour lectures per week:

  • Monday @13:00 in ChemT1
  • Tuesday @13:00 in PhysT
  • Wednesday @14:00 in PhysT

Labs and Tutors:

There will be a non-compulsory two hour laboratory in even weeks. These labs will be held in CSIT N112 (Linux workstation lab).

  • Practical on Monday 15:00 - 17:00 in N112 tutor: Mr Ahmed El Zein (email: ahmed.elzein@anu.edu.au)

You should register for labs using the StReaMS system

Registrations for this course are currently not allowed.

Proposed assessment:

  • Written assignment worth 10% due in week 7
  • 2 x 30 minute quizzes held in weeks 5 and 9 (Wednesday lecture slot) each worth 5%
  • Programming assignment (in C) worth 20% due in week 12
  • Laboratory Exam worth 60% held during exam period

Marks for this course can be viewed on the web using StReaMS.
