Peer Assisted Learning

About PAL

Peer Assisted Learning runs weekly group study sessions in COMP1110/COMP1140 starting from week 2. Come along to PAL to:

  • Meet new people
  • Improve groupwork and study skills
  • Improve your understanding of course content

Each session is facilitated by two second year mentors who plan activities and help with group discussion.

When?

COMP1110/COMP1140 PAL runs every week at the following times and locations:

  • 11am Monday: HAN 2.25
  • 10am Wednesday: HAN 2.25
  • 3pm Friday: HAN 2.25

Each session lasts an hour, and there's no need to enrol or register – just turn up!

These sessions run on the second floor of Hancock West. Once you've found your way to Hancock Library, head around to the back entrance. Head up the stairs and follow the rooms around to the left – 2.25 is towards the back of this area.

COMP1140

We're also running an additional fortnightly session for COMP1140. These sessions are scheduled in even numbered weeks.

  • 12pm Friday: HAN (meet in HAN West foyer)
