Course Organisation
COMP3120 is organised around two lectures each week and nine, two hour workshops which run each week starting in week 3. There are also a series of on-line quizes whose aims are to ensure students are prepared for the workshop sessions and to to test your learning.
Lectures will be used to introduce topics. The following week's workshop will will allow students to apply some of the concepts to which they have been introduced. Students will work in small groups both for workshop sessions and for all assignments. The course will require students to present regularly to their peers: informally in the workshop setting and formally as the third assignment. After each workshop students will be required to submit a short reflection.
