• Opening of Downer-Woden cycle lanes, 9:00am Tues 7 Sep
  [from PP] The Chief Minister Jon Stanhope will open the Northbourne Avenue stage, at Haig Park on the Turner side of Northbourne Ave (cnr Masson St). Please drop by and show that cyclists are paying close attention to provision of cycling facilities.

• Meeting with the Pollies on Cycling, 7:30pm Weds 15 Sep
  [from PP] Pedal Power's 'meet the pollies' night will be attended by politicians from all four major parties, who will explain their cycling policies and answer your questions about what they will do for cycling if elected. We need maximum attendance at this meeting, because politicians won't commit to funding or good cycling policies unless you are there to remind them that cyclists vote on these issues!
