Ride wearing red to Deakin for lunch to help get the message that bike riding reduces the chances of getting a heart attack. There will be some short speeches from Pedal Power and Heart Foundation ACT officials, with PP giving a cheque raised from the Big Canberra Bike Ride. It's at The Courtyard Caf (but you pay for your lunch!) Unit 3/7, Giles Circuit, Deakin, starting at 12:30.
This is quite an interesting event - have been to a few over the last few years (can't make it this time tho'. And sorry for the late notice!).
From [R2Uuni] 05 May 2008:
Those of us that have been around for a while may remember that ANU graduate Lynette gave a DCS seminar some years ago on her adventures in Cuba. Good to see she is still at it undaunted, and this one should be interesting too!
From another great sheep nation :), I have recently purchased lightweight merino cycling jerseys, a short sleeved one for summer and a long sleeved one for winter. While not quite as soft as kashmir, they are still very comfy and lightweight, with the long sleeved one being warm enough by itself so far. Made by GroundEffect
Well thats it till there is enough for another bulletin. Happy cycling! -Peter S.
