Student Absences (PDF)
Postgraduates are required to complete and get the appropriate signatures from their Supervisor and Head of Department and return to the DCS office for passing to the HDR in the CECS. Printed versions are available from the DCS office.

Please use this when you start writing your thesis. More information about the thesis format can be found in the ANU Guideline: Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, Information for Candidates on the Submission and Examination of Theses. Also, the ANU Research School of Physical Sciences and Engineering (RSPhysSE) has a page with resources for Physics' Postgrads.

DCS is encouraging its students to deposit their thesis into the Australian Digital Theses Program. The ANU has a Web site with procedures for depositing thesis electronically.

The Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research discusses issues such as research misconduct, record keeping, how to publish and proper authorship, how to conduct effective peer review, and how to manage conflicts of interest. There is also a PDF version available for download.
