                        Abstract

I will talk about the Australian IT presence in America with
particular emphasis on the 15 regional chambers of commerce in various US
cities. Their non-profit mission is to promote commercial trade and
cultural ties between Australia, New Zealand and the United States.  Members
are experienced leaders in international commerce, trade, tourism,
communications, and government services.  Activities have included trade and
investment seminars, breakfasts and receptions for Australian and New
Zealand dignitaries and business leaders visiting Philadelphia, business
roundtables, and hosting the national conference.  ANZUS business functions
provide avenues to network with local and "down under" business people.

Biography: 

Philip Minter is an executive with over 20 years experience in directing the
development of marketing communications and professional training for
biomedical, agricultural, and engineering products.  He advises and assists
companies from Australia and New Zealand establish business operations in
the United States.  Education includes a doctorate in adult
education/communications. He was formerly, Chief of Information at Centers
for Disease Control (CDC) with the U.S. Public Health Service. 
He is National President of the Australian New Zealand Chambers of
Commerce USA and  Executive Director of the ANZUS Business Exchange of
Philadelphia.
