Title:   The Use and Abuse of the Relational Model


Speaker: Ms  Carol Edmondson (DCS at ANU)


Abstract:
  The relational model was proposed by Codd just over thirty
  years ago. During the last fifteen years or so, relational
  databases have become *the* database standard. How do people
  in real life (IRL) use and abuse the relational model when
  developing relational database systems? This seminar will
  present some reflections from someone who has been teaching
  relational theory for over twenty years.

  Ms Edmondson is an academic in DCS at ANU.
