Title: What is this thing called eScience?
       

Abstract:

The eScience education program in the Department of Computer Science 
was established as the result of a special grant from the, then, Department
of Education, Training and Youth Affairs in 2000. It has resulted in the 
introduction of two new graduate programs at ANU as well as 7 new courses 
and some 17 new graduates. Present enrolments are about 44 with a substantial 
percentage of them coming from overseas.

This seminar will look at the past, present and future of eScience and will
reveal the secrets for success of these popular graduate programs.
