Speakers from design, new media applications, web management, marketing and promotion shared viewpoints on design of the web site for input to the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Tom Worthington was invited to speak on accessible web design for the Olympics and will present his impressions. This seminar will suggest research opportunities with the Beijing 2008 Olympics. Biography: Tom Worthington is a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the Australian National University. He is an independent consultant, author of the book Net Traveller and information technology professional, with 17 years experience. In 2000 he was one of two expert witnesses to present evidence to the Australian Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission on the design of the Sydney 2000 Olympic web site.
