Course Information for Masters Courses for Semester 2 2009
- To find out when and where the contact for your course will take place,
see the
ANU timetable.
- 8000-level COMP project courses do not normally have a timetable
entry. Generally, the first thing to do is to make contract with the
projects over co-ordinator (or relevant course co-ordinator), which
should be as early as possible, at latest week 1. See the Masters project pages
for more details.
- See the
postgraduate course home page for links to home pages of your courses.
- See also the course web page (see the links below)
for further information (e.g. whether
lectures start from week 1 and for times of tutorials/laboratories).
Note that you will not be able to access any pages on WebCT until
your enrolment has been processed.
- Each course will have its own policy on how to register for a
tutorial/laboratory group. Some will require you to register on-line via
the StReAMS system. Click on
this link and log in using your uni id and PAC code. Provided you have
completed your enrolment 2 working days before, you should see a list
of CS courses you have enrolled in. Registrations are normally enabled
between weeks 0 and 2; if it says `registrations closed' in this period,
it may mean that you do not register using StReAMS
(but try again later to make sure).
Otherwise, register
as early as possible! (even before your first lecture - first
come, best dressed!). For more information on StReAMS, see the
CSIT Undergraduate Student System Documentation page.
- You may find there are clashes with your intended enrollment
pattern. Such a possibility is a fact of life, exacerbated by the wide
variety of choice in the enrollment patterns of a number of degree
programs (especially the MCOMP) that service there courses. Quite
often it can be managed; for example, most CS courses have web lecture
notes and web audio recordings. Most courses have alternate tutorial/lab
sessions, so you may be able to swap your sessions ot avoid a clesh.
