Dean's Awards 2010
Professor Chris Baker, Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, commented on the excellence of academic and general staff at the Christmas celebrations on 7 December, and on the high regard with which these staff are held by their peers, and by students.
Dean’s Awards for Teaching Excellence were presented to:
Dr Rajeev Gore for Excellence in Supervision
Professor Tom Gedeon for Excellence in Teaching
Dr Scott Sanner for Excellence in Supervision
Dr Jinbo Huang received the Dean's Commendation for Contributions to Teaching (Dr Huang volunteers his time to students)
Dean’s Awards for General Staff went to:
Janette Garland, CECS Research and Innovation Office
Dale Holland, CECS Research and Innovation Office
Julie Arnold, School of Computer Science
Nominators highlighted not only the outstanding professionalism and knowledge of all the award winners, but also of the way in which they went above and beyond their normal academic and administrative duties to create a harmonious environment for the wide range of people that they deal with.
