Agreement signed with Harbin Institute

The ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science signed an Agreement with Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen Campus on Thursday, 24 February 2011. The Agreement will see students who have completed three years of study at HIT Shenzhen undertaking the final year of their Bachelor degree in the College, and subsequently enrolling in a College Masters degree. It is anticipated that the Agreement will also lead to other forms of collaboration between the two universities.

The Chinese delegation included Professor Mr Jin Guangjun, Dean, HIT Shenzhen Graduate School; Professor Ms Zhou Chaoying, Deputy Dean, Curriculum & International Programs; Assoc Professor Ms Liang Chulu, Director, International Programs.

“Harbin is one of the premier engineering universities in China. It plans to grow its elite student body to 2000 over the next ten years and the cream of this elite will qualify to come and complete their degrees at the ANU. This collaboration is expected to deliver excellent educational and research outcomes long into the future helping to cement our reputations as world leaders,” said College Dean, Professor Chris Baker.
