1. Appointment of CSIT Safety Coordinator & Officer

These are Peter Strazdins nad Jason Ozolins respectively.
Safety Issues for CSIT can be raised with either.


2. Thumbtacks still used in your office?

Reminder: you should replace these ASAP with push-pins! 

(if you dont the OHS fairy may come into your office one evening and
leave one in an attitude and position that will remind you on the next day:)


3. New 1st Aid Officer.

Dave Walsh CSIT N236, x55147 is now qualified! Thanks and
congratulations, Dave! 


4. Voice-Activated Software.

DCS has purchased a licence for Dragon Naturally Speaking 4.0.  It runs
on Windows systems with a fair grunt.  Currently the licence is being
used by Rochelle OHagan and appears to work satisfactorily.  Ask Peter
for more info. 
	

5. Occupational Overuse Monitoring Software.

There is free software available which runs on Unix in the background to
remind you to take a break from typing/mousing.  It can even lock your
screen, keyboard or mouse for you...  Ask Peter for details.
