The CSIT (occasional) Health & Safety Bulletin, Jan 2007 1. Thumbtacks on NoticeBoards and Other Places A remimder that these nasty little items are considered a safety hazard and have long been *banned* at ANU. And yet they keep re-appearing around the place... So... if you have any installed in your office, remove them and replace them with pushpins (see the DCS Office for these). Dispose of any packets of unused ones you have. And do not, under any corcumstances, use thumbtacks on CSIT noticeboards or other common areas in CSIT! Please be advised that any thumbtacks found in these places will be removed (together with any notices they may be holding up) without notice. -- Peter Strazdins DCS Safety Co-ordinator http://cs.anu.edu.au/ohs/
