1. Minutes of previous meeting.

2. Matters arising.
	
2.1 Committee membership 

Peter reported that at the Nov DCS meeting that the new DCS
representatives were chosen (Vicki Peterson, Ian Barnes, and Margot
Napier's replacement) and these plus current menbers would satisfy OH&S
Committee membership requirements. 

3. New hazard reports

Peter reported problem were reported with the Air Conditioning in the
CSIT N241-243 early October, with rooms becoming quite hot with the
sudden change in weather.  F&S were called in soon after to repair the
Air Conditioning, which appears to be satisfactory. 

Chris reported that the Air Conditioning for other parts of Level 2,
including the Machine Room, has been performing satisfactorily.

4. General OH&S News

NTEU Health and Safety Representatives: Peter flagged the possibility
that the CSIT may be required to provide a member to this committee.
Will await clarification in early 2001.

Peter reported the change in ANU policy in reimbursement for spectacles 
for screen-based use: the ANU will no longer provide this.

He also reported planned OHS investigation of ANU in 2001, 
presenting the draft of the Comcare SafetyMAP, for noting. 
It is unclear at present what impact this may have on our area. 

Chris commented that the lifting of heavy equipment, mentioned in the
SafetyMAP, may be relevant for our area.
