(p187-8) - beware small differences; speed experiments (p189) * reproducibility of results: - use of scripts (p190), notebooks (p192) * previous project case studies: * AH (2005), JL (2006) * PH (2005), TB (2006) * discuss why are both of these important? Small Group Exercise: * bring in hardcopy of your latest draft report (doesn't matter if you haven't worked on it for a while!) * alternately, we could look at the S1 2007 reports by PS (12unit) and RA (6unit) * evaluate each other's reports on above points; offer suggestions and feedback 5. Plan next week's session (Presentations: who want to try a `dry run'?) #8 Presentations - Practice and Feedback * you read the excerpts from the 2nd half of Zobel Ch 10 beforehand, and review the excerpts on presentations way back from meeting #1 * those 4 of you that wish to to do a partial dry-run you have 10 mins each. So try to cover a 5 min segment, which allows for setup and feedback. Of course, you will need to prepare accordingly! * those of you that wish to have their report structure viewed (####), we will allow 10+ mins for that.
