Department of Computer Science

Welcome to Teddy Mantoro's Page, at the Australian National University.

My research interest mainly is in context-aware computing and distributed architecture for Intelligent Environment. Context-Aware Computing is the central issue for Ubiquitous/Pervasive Computing, Ambient Intelligent, Nomadic Computing and Sentient Computing (please refer to chapter 2 of my thesis if you interest in this part).

The early of this page was my study during my PhD candidature as part on the Intelligent Environment Research Group in the Cooperative Research Center - Smart Internet Technology (CRC-SIT) and Department of Computer Science at The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia.

The chronological order of my submission is the following: After around 3 years of my PhD study, at 3pm on 3 June 2005 I submitted my thesis. On 16 November 2005, Research Office informed me that I have passed from the external examiners. On 6 January 2006, I received a formal letter that the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education) has approved exemption from an oral examinationand and recommended to admit the degree of Doctor Philosophy. On 2 May 2006, The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education) has approved my admission to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.

My thesis can be downloaded here.

I used to join Pelican group (ANU, USydney, UGriffith) - a research group within Intelligent Environment Group at CRC-SIT - and Animalia group (DCS-ANU and mobile computing-CSIRO).
