Quantum communication networks

Project Code: CECS_163

This project is available at the following levels:
Engn4200, Engn R&D, Honours, Summer Scholar, Masters, PhD

Keywords:

quantum, communication, networks

Supervisor:

Professor Matt James

Outline:

The laws of quantum mechanics can be exploited to design new technologies that perform better than what is possible by standard non-quantum means. Quantum communication systems are presently being developed with the potential for secure communication and transmission of quantum information. Quantum networks, quantum memories, and quantum communication protocols are current areas of research.

Goals of this project

Research projects in this area will be in collaboration with ANU physicists.
