ABSTRACT:
In this short talk I will introduce the "Modelling of Agroecosystems and Decision" team at INRA, Toulouse, France, and the kind of research we develop about Markov Decision Processes, Reinforcement Learning and Stochastic Optimization for solving crop, forestry, pest, water or biodiversity management problems.
BIO:
Frederick Garcia is a research director in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department of INRA, the french National Institute for Agricultural Research. His research is about the concept of action and decision in an uncertain environment from an AI point of view. He has been working on belief revision, planning, motion planning, reinforcement learning, Markov decision problems.
