ABSTRACT:
Musicians jamming together often describe a sensation of 'engagement' with one another - this is often cited as one of the most enjoyable aspects of the experience. In Human-Computer Interaction the term engagement is overloaded with several subtly different meanings. How, then, are we to make sense of the group music-making experience in a mobile HCI context?
