ABSTRACT:
Learn step-by-step procedures to write an explicit CFD solver based on final difference methods with staggered grid allocations and boundary fitted coordinates. I will discuss the derivation of the mathematical model, discretisation of the model equations, development of the algorithms, and parallelization and how-to do visualization of the computed data using OpenCL and OpenGL. Compares case studies of natural convection, driven cavity, scaling analysis, and magneto-thermal convection computed on CSIRO GPU cluster.
