ABSTRACT:
Capturing requirements in multiple languages is often error-prone due to natural language imprecision being compounded by language differences. We demonstrate a new approach and tool using the Essential Use Cases (EUC) model to address inconsistency occurring in English and Malay multi-lingual requirements capture. We translate and compare between the EUC elements represented in either language and then check for the inconsistent elements. A web-based tool running on the iPad is also used to support the approach. Here, three experiments used to evaluate the efficacy and effectiveness of our approach and prototype tool support will also be described.
