Help with course material and assignments
There are a number of ways that you can seek help. Remember, if you
are having a particular problem, the chances are that some of your
peers have (or will) also encounter it.
- Your peers: these can be a valuable source of
help, especially if you take the effort to `network' with them (which
may prove valuable in the future). Having said that, when it comes to
assignments, the amount of help you should ask for (or give) is
limited: see the DCS Student Handbook for more details.
- Phorum: On the Course Announcement
Board, we will put up FAQs and address any significant problems
encountered so far. On the Course Discussion
Board, your question may have already been addressed (and solved)
by some of your peers.
- Your Tutor: if it can wait till your next
class, you can bring the problem up with your tutor.
- The Course Lecturer is also available for
help, either by email, phone or in person consultation. Consultation
times will be posted here when we have settled the timetable.
