The textbook for COMP1900 is

Computers: Tools for an Information Age, 5th Edition
H.L. Capron

ISBN 0-201-30558-5

Several copies have been placed in the short loans section of the Library but students are advised to obtain their own copy.

The textbook may be purchased from the University Co-Operative Bookshop on campus. This textbook was used by the unit INFS1014 in 1998 so students may be able to purchase a copy second-hand.

Brick

Students should also purchase a copy of the COMP1900 Brick.

The COMP1900 Brick costs $20 and consists of:

Brick payments can only be paid for during the mornings at the Cashier's Office on the Ground Floor Copland Building near the Faculty of Economics and Commerce Office.

Once you have paid for the Brick, bring the receipt to Room N213, or the Reception Desk, in the CS&IT Building to collect the Brick. If you have previously collected the InfoPack and DCS Student Handbook, bring your receipt to collect the Offcie 97 Manual.

Given that the Office 97 Manual is now available, there will be NO REFUND for those who do not collect the Manual.

The InfoPack includes important information. The unit is conducted on the basis that all students have read and understood the InfoPack.
