Q1. locking assertion failure

Answer 0. locking assertion failure
Some versions of Java may give a warning "locking assertion failure" when you run Oops, and dump stack trace information to the console. This is a known bug in the interaction between Ubuntu and Java. It does not appear to affect the operation of Oops.
If you happen to know or to find a reliable fix, post it to the discussion group; but don't waste time looking for a fix.
