Software Design for Software Engineers

Syllabus: Computer Software Development Cycle; Software Requirements Specification; Design Notations (Unified Modelling Language); Design Techniques: Object-Oriented Design, Software Architecture, Design Patterns; Design Review; Design Quality; Modern Software Design Technologies (Rational Process, Agile Development, Jazz)

The is a full semester course which will comprise 25 (30, for COMP2510) lectures, two laboratory sessions and five tutorials, three assignments and a final theory examination (standard three hour written exam).
