COMP2300/6300: Getting Help

Problems Understanding the Course Material

  1. Check the links for course resources listed on the main COMP2300 web page menu. The textbook or reference books may well have relevant sections, even if they haven't been explicitly cited. Also be sure to check the lecture slides and tute/lab sheets.

  2. One of the most useful sources of help when you have a problem is to ask a fellow student. Get to know the other students in your lab group.

  3. Check the discussion forum for any relevant message. Post a message of your own, if need be.

  4. Talk to your tutor at the next tute/lab.

  5. Ask the course lecturer via email, phone or by seeing him during his office hours. See his contact page for details.

All email relating to COMP2300 should be sent to: comp2300@cs . Please send messages in plain text (or text/html), and put comp2300 and the relevant part/issue of the course (e.g. comp2300: ass 1) in the Subject line.

Technical Issues

If you have problems with logins or broken hardware, please see the Technical Support Group's Getting Help web site.

Administrative Matters
