Submission Details

Exercise 6 is to be submitted in Week 12.

The command to use (on a unix command line) is:

submit comp2400 ex6 qnvl.sql

OR

submit comp6240 ex6 qnvl.sql

(depending upon which course you are enrolled in).

If you have trouble submitting your file , ask your tutor for assistance during your Lab Session in Week 12.

How to Do Exercise 6

Your task for this Exercise is to create a query which uses the Oracle feature nvl). Your query will run against tables in the SQL, Bugs, and Rock 'n' Roll Database

1. Copy and save the supplied code as  qnvl.sql  in an appropriate folder in your student home directory.

2. Update your  qnvl.sql  by replacing each  <description>  with appropriate text.

   Do not put any other commands in your  qnvl.sql  file.
   Do not put any other comments in your  qnvl.sql  file.

3. After making sure that you are in the correct directory, test your  qnvl.sql  by starting it at an SQL prompt.

4. Submit your updated copy of  qnvl.sql  (see above).
