a while, but for those of you waiting for some instructions to appear
here, you do 19:17 Sunday 21 October - Solutions to labs 3 through 5 are now available. Warning! There may be mistakes - if you think a solution is wrong, please ask. 11:08 Friday 19 October - No lecture on Tuesday 23 October. Time to start revising for the exam! 23:55 Monday 15 October - Lab 6 is now available from the labs page. 18:13 Sunday 7 October - Here is assignment 2. Its due on Monday 22 October at 5pm. Submission will be electronic, so put your work in a plain text file ass2.txt. Technical submission details coming soon. 14:02 Friday 28 September - Approval has been granted for the marking scheme to change to a "redeemable" one, so if you do better in the final exam than you did in the mid-test, the final will count for 70% and the mid-test for nothing.

For both courses, the assessment will be
