Welcome to COMP3110 and COMP6311 for 2011This course is intended to provide software developers with practical information concerning requirements analysis and design techniques that have been found to enhance software development practice. This will be achieved by exploring a range of past, contemporary and emerging software/systems analysis and design techniques. We will consider relationships between such techniques and how they have, and can be, assembled to form effective software development methodologies. Upon completion of this course, students will:

They include the start and end dates for each teaching period of 2010. Course OrganisationEach week we will meet for a single 2 hour lecture (in JD101) and a separate (mandatory) 2 hour workshop. During each lecture we will discuss a specific topic and then during each workshop, we will conduct a small group exercise to practice some of the ideas discussed.
