The texture mapping and image manipulation labs has been rewritten to demonstrate loading from Linux PPM, PNM, or PGM raster files. Most raster formats can be converted into one of these, including TIFF and GIF. For example:

giftopnm myimage.gif > myimage.pnm
See man ppm, man pgm, man pnm for details.

What do I read?

The textbook is Computer Graphics with OpenGL, 3rd edition; Hearn and Baker. Copies will be available in the bookshop.
