Introductory Programming In Java
Getting Help
Problems understanding the course material
- Check the course
resources page.
The textbook or reference books may
have relevant sections, even if they haven't been explicitly
cited. Also try to check the
lecture slides and
lab sheets.
- One of the most useful sources of help when you have a problem
is to ask a fellow student. Get to know the other students in
your lab group.
- Post a message to the course message board
(COMP6700.Talk).
- Talk to your tutor at the next lab.
- Ask the lecturer via e-mail or by seeing him during the official consultation hours.
Technical issues
- If you have problems with logins or broken hardware, please contact Computing@ANU.
- For forgotten passwords, go to InfoPlace.
- For problems with your account on the DCS student system (eg. quotas etc, but excepting forgotten passwords), contact the Consultant Programmer at the DCS Technical Support Group. Note that the CS Undergraduate Student System Documentation may contain the answer to your problem.
Administrative matters
- If querying an assignment mark, please see your tutor at the next lab, or contact them via e-mail.
- For issues like changing your lab groups, or seeking an assignment extensions, please email comp6700@cs.anu.edu.au or see the course lecturer during his contact hours.
- If requesting an assignment extension, please provide supporting documentation (e.g. medical certificates).
