COM8400 - Tutorial papers

  • There will be four one-hour tutorial sessions, with one tutorial group: Thursday 15:00 - 16:00 in the CSIT building, room N115/N116 (computer lab).

  • For each tutorial two relevant papers will be made available here. A sheet with questions about the topic of these papers will also be available for each tutorial. We will discuss these questions (as well as additional questions and issues you have).

  • The first paper for each tutorial provides an overview or presents a general topic not covered in the corresponding lectures, while the second, additional paper is more advanced and present a topic in more details.

  • Students are expected to read the first paper before the tutorials and go through the questions sheet, and also note their own questions and issues they would like to have discussed during the tutorials.

  • The second, additional paper will be discussed in the tutorials if there is time.

Note: The second, additional paper will not be part of the assessable course material (i.e. there will be no assignment task or exam questions about the topics covered in the additional papers). They do, however, cover important additional material relevant to data mining.
