Lab Tests

Lab Test 1

The first lab test will be held in the week of March 25. It will be a one hour test, held during the first part of the normal lab time. The material covered will include all of the first 3 labs and the corresponding lectures (all of the lectures in the first 4 weeks, including recursion). There are no permitted materials. A sample lab test from 2011 is provided as an example.

For engn2219, the mean for the first lab test was 6.98/10 with a standard deviation of 2.23. The number of students that took the test was 81.

For comp6719, the mean for the first lab test was 8.04/10 with a standard deviation of 1.52. The number of students that took the test was 6.

You can see your marks on streams. You can checkout your labtest by doing the following:

    svn co --username your-uni-id https://svn.anu.edu.au/EngSim/L1uXXXXXXX
Replace XXXXXXX with your student number. For example, L1u1234567, as shown below:
    svn co --username your-uni-id https://svn.anu.edu.au/EngSim/L1u1234567
This will create a directory called L1u1234567. In here, you will find your scripts, as well as a file called marks.txt. This file contains the marks for your answers, your tutor's name, as well as feedback from the tutor. Please contact your tutor, if you have any questions (preferably in the next lab).

Sample answers for the lab test are provided.

Lab Test 2

The second lab test will be held in the week of May 6. It will be a one hour test, held during the first part of the normal lab time. The material covered will include all of the first 6 labs and the corresponding lectures (up to and including the lecture on numerical methods), with an emphasis on lab 5, but not including the lectures/lab on software engineering. There are no permitted materials. A sample lab test from 2011 is provided as an example.

For engn2219, the mean for the second lab test was 8.51/10 with a standard deviation of 1.31. The number of students that took the test was 82.

For comp6719, the mean for the second lab test was 9.5/10 with a standard deviation of 0.53. The number of students that took the test was 6.

You can see your marks on streams. You can checkout your labtest by doing the following:

    svn co --username your-uni-id https://svn.anu.edu.au/EngSim/L2uXXXXXXX
