Description

A Web Portal is an interface to a scientific simulation or database which runs in a web-services environment. The objective of this project is to construct a generic scientific web portal which includes job submission and monitoring, database interrogation and statistical analysis. Open-source software will be used for the project and appropriate comparisons with other scientific web portals will be made.

Description

Scientific databases will need to have layers of security to deal with multiple users and levels of priveledged. A single sign-on approach will be incorporated into an existing application to manage data from nuclear fusion experiments over the internet.
