COMP1200 Tuts/Labs

There are two combined tutorial-labs, in weeks 6 and 8. Each tutorial is worth 6 marks, two marks for attendance, two marks for preparation and two marks for participation. These marks are summed to calculate your tutorial mark (out of 12).

Each week the tutorial will have a list of set questions. Students are required to attempt at least 6 questions before the tutorial. At the beginning of the tutorial, show your attempted solutions to your tutor and they will mark you off as attempting that week's tutorial. This is the only time you can be marked off. The end of the tutorial is too late.

Your solutions to the tutorial question should be written by hand, have your name on the top right hand corner and not be photocopied. (You need to do them yourself). Also, you must have seriously attempted the questions.

If you miss a tutorial, or a number of tutorials due to sickness or misadventure and feel this will adversely effect your marks, then you should write a letter (not email) to the Lecturer in Charge, Prof Brendan McKay, stating the reason for missing the tutorial and attaching any supporting documentation (i.e. medical certificate). These will be collected and reviewed at the end of session. The letter should be written and sent as soon as possible after (or before) the tutorial (normally within a week).

Tutorial questions will be made available at least a week before the tutorial. Preparation is both necessary and expected.
