Studying at the Research School of Computer Science
The Research School of Computer Science provides a range of undergraduate degrees, postgraduate coursework, and research degrees for those interested in computer science, software engineering, and information technology.
The School consists of a collection of academics who have a real passion to impart to the next generation professional stills that will start and build their careers. This involves studying both the theory and the practice of computer science so that students can go on to work in industry, or choose a career in research.
Later year projects are often linked with external organisations providing a bridge with industry, and this sometimes leads to award winning partnerships that demonstrate the application of disciplines like software engineering in the real world. From time-to-time we invite guest lecturers to participate in courses, especially from industry, and this means we are able to provide students with a richer learning experience.
