Honours Resources

Below are some resources useful for current Honours students. If you have suggestions for links to other resources, or notice any errors on this page, please email the Honours Convener.

• ANU LaTeX Thesis Template instructions:
  1. Make sure you have the following (ubuntu) packages:
     • texlive-latex-base
     • texlive-latex-recommended
     • texlive-fonts-recommended
  2. Download the tarball containing the ANU thesis template and style files.
  3. Untar it and move the texmf/ directory into ~/, i.e. one's home directory.
  4. Delete or relocate the ~/texmf/tex/generic/anuthesis/example/ subdirectory. (Optional, but useful to avoid conflicts.)
  5. Run "sudo texhash" to rebuild the TeX tree.
  6. Invest in a good book about LaTeX, learn to use xfig
