PhD Induction Workshop
Following the success of the workshop on developing and debugging machine learning algorithms run late last year, we are planning a two-day PhD induction workshop scheduled for 3-4 May, 2012. Unlike university-wide programs for PhD students, this workshop will be more technical and specifically tailored to research in Computer Science.
- The workshop will be held in the Manning Clark Centre, Lecture Theater 6.
- A detailed program can be found here.
- If you haven't already done so, please register your interest in attending the workshop here.
Invited speakers and organisers of the workshop include Steve Blackburn, Peter Christen, Ranald Clouston, Henry Gardner, Rajeev Gore, Steve Gould, James Montgomery, Mark Reid, Bob Williamson, Lexing Xie, Yuhang Zhang. Note that your supervisor does not need to be participating for you to attend the workshop.
New students should also consider the programs offered by the Research Student Development Centre.
