Use in Teaching

Experience with typical second-year classes suggests that on average they still find markup languages such as [LaTeX] difficult to learn. They tend to see WEB as yet another, maybe false, trail in the labyrinth. Thus it is essential to provide them with some fully worked out design documents for reading and modifying as a starting point in their own work. Ideally a set of these could be produced covering various categories of major programming assignment. The one we have chosen here is the design of an interpreter for a scaled down imperative programming language.
