ANU Computer Science Technical Reports
File Types
There are several different types of files which may be available for
a technical report. These are indicated by the following types of
links:
- POSTSCRIPT
- PostScript file (compressed using gzip), usually generated by
dvips. The size of the compressed PostScript file is shown.
More recent PostScript files have been generated at
600dpi and contain a cover page.
- PDF
- Adobe Portable Document Format. This is searchable PDF,
generated using Acrobar Distiller using 3.0 features.
- DVI
- TeX-related DVI file (compressed using gzip). Usually
contains just the body of the report.
- POSTSCRIPT COVER PAGE
- Some (older) reports have a cover page which is available in a
separate file (PostScript, compressed using gzip). It's a good
idea to fetch this if it is available, since it might be your
only means of remembering where you got the report from! The
cover pages were generated by Interleaf v5.2 and are known to
work on a SparcPrinter, but may not be more portable than that!
- BROWSE HTML
- WWW-browsable version of the report.
