Research interests:

My research interests are mainly in the Semantic Web and Web Mining. These two fields are well developed with decades of research. In recent years, the two fields are beginning to converge because of cross application benefits. The Web is a massive collection of 'stuff' which needs to be efficiently described and extract knowledge from. Having grown up with the Internet and existing largely in the virtual world, I found a research perspective on the Internet has made it an even more interesting place to explore.

Related fields of interests include Machine Learning, Data Mining, Social Networks, and mining large data sets. Other research interests include games development, (Web) user interface development, and teaching management software development.

Bio:

I grew up in Canberra and benefited from quality public primary and secondary education that allowed me to complete a Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) degree at the ANU in 2009. During my undergraduate, I worked as a tutor for a few courses and as a summer intern at CSIRO and ANU. I immediately started my PhD in 2010 at ANU as I was drawn to research rather than work at the end of my undergraduate.
