Bio:

Dr Tsuzuki received a PhD in condensed matter physics from Kyoto University, Japan, and a Graduate Certificate in Technology Management from La Trobe University. He was Chief Technology Officer of one of the first nanotechnology companies in Australia where he contributed to the successful commercialization of the university patents he co-developed. He played a key role in the large scale production and product development of commercial nanoparticles. The commercialisation effort was internationally recognised as Frost & Sullivan’s 2005 Excellence in Technology of the Year Award. For this, he was nominated as a Certified Materials Professional by the Institute of Materials Engineering Australasia Ltd and served as Chair of Materials Australia Nanotechnology Special Interest Group at Materials Australia. He serves as an editorial board member of the Journal of Nanomaterials, a guest editor of two journals and a reviewer of many international academic journals. He is a regular grant reviewer for Australian Research Council and an invited reviewer of international grants. He is also a participant in the Roundtable Discussions on National Enabling Technologies Strategy consultation by Australian Government’s Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research & Tertiary Education. His membership include Australian Research Council Nanotechnology Network, Materials Australia, Australian Institute of Physics, Materials Research Society USA, and American Chemical Soceity. He has contributed to over 120 peer-reviewed scholarly publications and 9 book chapters. He is a co-inventor of 5 patents in the field of nanomaterials. His new book “Nanotechnology Commercialization” (Pan Stanford Publishing) was just published (http://www.panstanford.com/books/9789814303286.html). He supervised 21 HDR students.
