Bio:

Woei Ming (Steve) Lee is currently appointed as Future Engineering Research Leadership (FERL) Fellow/Lecturer within the Research School of Engineering. He received a B.Eng (Honors) in electronics engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. He then pursue work as a Photonics Engineer in NTU and Microscopy Consultant with Einst Technology Pte Ltd. In 2010, he earned his PhD degree in Optical Physics (Thesis entitled: Optical trapping: optical interferometric metrology and nanophotonics) in the University of St Andrews (UK). Between 2010-2012, he worked at Wellman Centre of Photomedicine under affiliations with Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital (USA) to pursue biomedical optics research, aimed at improving intravital micro-endoscopy with advanced optical techniques with Professor Andy Yun. In 2012-2013, he was awarded the Vice Chancellor Fellowship at University of New South Wales to develop new nanosurgical laser microscopy for cellular and tissue therapy. He is establishing new optical metrology and imaging techniques for application in biomedicine and nanotechnology.
