Couple of months back, I was having a veggie meal from Crossway at Melbourne city (An Indian Restaurant run by Hare Krisna Movement). I got interested in a young man (he was caucasian) eating along with me. He was reading a ‘big’ book on International Relationships. Being curious, I initiated a chat. He was doing research at Latrobe Uni on the theory of ‘just war’. Starting from international relations, we talked about almost everything under the sun. Finally he was wondering, how could we talk about all those things. He wanted to know what I was doing?

“I am doing postgrad in IT”, I told. He was not satisfied. “Yes I had my first degree in Philosophy” I explained. “What do you mean by first degree?”

“O God, it’s going to be difficult”, I thought. “After my philosophy, I moved to Civil Engineering. Then, another degree in Theology . But now IT.” Somehow I spelled them out. He was still suspicious. Finally I told him, “I am a Catholic priest”. He started to laugh n laugh n laugh. “It explains everything”, he said.

It’s me. I can talk about almost everything under the sun! If I know something, I say “I know”. If I don’t, I say “I don’t”. People say that I’ve got an uncanny ability to read between the lines - may be because of years of critical reading and evaluation.
