Zoe and Fedsat

Me

Zoe Ellen Brain BSc, MInfoTech(Dist)

Welcome to Zoe Brain's Home Page !

I'm a PhD candidate, at the Dept of Computer Science (DCS) at the ANU Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT).

I'm currently researching improvements in Software Development Methodologies, especially applied to embedded systems in Cars. Trying to find ways of doing things Better, Cheaper, Faster, and Safer too.

That's me on the left, with the Engineering model of Fedsat. I headed the on-board computer development team for it in 2001-2002.

I first wrote some software to "help" my Father back in 1966, a few lines of FORTRAN II. After graduating from Sydney Uni in 1981, most of my career has been in Defence or Aerospace areas, with occasional forays into Teaching, Computer Forensics, Computer control of Laser Therapeutic Devices,  Open Source E-Voting and other high-integrity systems.

Now after doing a Master's part-time, I'm back at fulltime study, after a break of 25 years.

Teaching

I tutor for Comp 3110 and Comp 6311 - Software Analysis and Design

I'm available at Room 320 of the Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) Building ,
Building 108(map)
