Conference - Aerospace Futures 2018

The AYAA’s flagship event, the Aerospace Futures conference, will be held later this year in Canberra from the 16th-19th July. This event is aimed to assist those interested in a career in aerospace, regardless of their respective discipline, in learning about the current state of the space industry and what the future holds. The conference will be a truly worthwhile experience for delegates with various formats including presentations, panels, interviews, networking events and dinners. The event will be held across venues of national significance including the Australian Defence Force Academy, National Parliament of Australia, National Gallery of Australia, National Press Club and the National Arboretum.

The conference will host over 50 of the highest calibre speakers across all walks of Australian aerospace including defence, industry, government and academia. Several notable mentions include Dr. Megan Clark – Head of the Australian Space Agency, Nobel Laureate Prof. Brian Schmidt and Rocket Lab Vice President Dr. Sandy Tirtey to name a few.

The conference is delegate-centric and aims to maximise affordability and experience for those in attendance. 250 undergraduate and postgraduate students from all disciplines will be offered the opportunity to attend this conference for a fee of $180 with partially facilitated accommodation and transport.

Simply put, Aerospace Futures is the go-to event for anyone who is interested in an aerospace career.
