Employment Opportunities: Dataculturists wanted! Closes April 23

Dataculturists wanted!

If you are passionate about data, thrive in an agile work environment and really want to make a difference then do we have an opportunity for you!
We are offering a unique chance to build a brand new team, and a brand new way of looking at data and analytics. Our team is looking for the right people, with the right skills to help us deliver the right outcomes that will lead to evidence-based decision making and delivery of better services to our citizens.

We have a number of positions on offer:
  • Senior Data Engineer
  • Senior Policy Officer
  • BI Developer
  • Business Analyst
  • Senior Data Manager
  • Data Analyst
  • Data Engineer
  • System Admin/Librarian

We want people who are not afraid of a challenge. Who are evangelists for data. Who don’t want to continue working in the same old ways making the same old decisions and getting the same old outcomes. We want people who truly believe that we can do things differently – and better!
If this sounds like you, hop on over to the JobsACT website and have a look at our more detailed job descriptions. Read the roles and responsibilities and the selection criteria. If you like what you see, send us your CV and your pitch – in no more than two pages – telling us what you would bring to the team as a data engineer, business analyst, system admin/librarian or any of the other positions we have on offer, and how you would use your skills to make a difference. Apply for one position – or two! As many as you believe you can do.
Some of our positions are being offered at the Senior Officer Grade C/ASO 6 level, or the ASO 6/ASO 5 level. This means we will be assessing which level you are best suited for based on your skills and experience. If you apply for multiple roles you will be assessed against each but, where possible, we’ll try to make it so you only have to attend one interview.
Some of the positions are permanent, and some are being offered for 18 months with an option for extension and/or permanency. The individual job descriptions will let you know which ones are which.

So dust off that CV, sharpen up your pitch and start applying – applications close April 23!
